This artwork depicts Dr. Babasaheb telling the Buddha how, on 14th October, 1956 at Dikshabhumi, he revived Buddhism in India. By accepting Buddhism, people broke the shackles of Brahmanical inequality and became free birds. In the background is the Lion Capital of King Ashoka. The four lions symbolize the ‘the Four Noble Truths’ taught by the Buddha and the on the base below are moving animals following one another endlessly, showing the turning of the wheel of existence and spread of Buddha dhamma.
